Union Chapel to Welcome Preschool

Union Chapel, already home to the Indiana Fine Arts Academy, will welcome the Northeast Cooperative Preschool (NCP) in the fall of 2017. This partnership was approved by the Church's Unified Council at its December meeting. NCP is a well-established preschool, over 60 years in operation.

The school, involving 36 families and 50 children, will occupy Union Chapel's lower level for classes five days weekly, beginning in September. 

The Northeast Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit, parent-participation preschool, enrolling children from 2 years to 6 years old. They are affiliated with the Indiana Council of Preschool Cooperatives (ICPC) as well as Parent Cooperative Preschool International. The school offers five classes:

Lilypad Leapers is our mixed-age class with children ages 2-5. This class meets on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Tadpoles (2-3's) meets Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 -11:15 a.m.

Polliwogs (3-4's) meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Frogs (4-5's) meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, Frogs stay until 1:00 p.m.

Kindergarten (5-6) meets Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Current and prospective families are invited to the preschool's open house at Union Chapel on January 30th from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. or 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Both parents and children may attend.
